KLCC landscape

A key component in differentiating Malaysia as a premier business events destination and highlighting the country’s unique multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-lingual landscape, the Centre’s complimentary Conventions Value-Add Programme, worth RM100,000, is a firm favourite of international professional conference organisers. Available for all confirmed international events, the Conventions Value-Add Programme includes site inspections, pre-function committee meetings, a cocktail reception or a press conference hosted by the Centre and 10 complimentary tickets to the PETRONAS Twin Towers’ Sky Bridge and 86th floor observation deck for a truly ‘birds’ eye’ view of the KLCC precinct and its surrounds.

This is all in addition to the Cultural Showcase, which gives international delegates a snapshot of the country’s rich and diverse cultural heritage without having to leave the facility and is a great convenience for delegates with limited time to visit attractions or undertake pre- and post-event tours. The Cultural Showcase is an experiential and interactive presentation of eight Malaysian arts and crafts - batik painting, basket weaving, wood carving, songket weaving, pewter smithing, henna painting, Chinese calligraphy and the gamelan (traditional Malay orchestra).

The Cultural Showcase is also a great ice-breaker and social engagement tool to create a social hub, networking environment and a sense of community and collaboration, which forms an integral part of the event content. In addition, the showcase provides delegates and visitors with the opportunity to support and deliver financial benefits to local small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as help maintain the country’s cultural heritage for future generations.

The Centre consistently invests and upgrades its infrastructure and provides complimentary consultation on tailored information technology (IT) and communication solutions, ranging from internet access to a large scale LAN setup.

There is a single mode fibre connection throughout the building which supports multiple live 4K video and audio streams, live interactive systems, huge file transfer and much more.

The Centre’s network infrastructure consists of 1Gbps LAN ports supported by a 20Gbps backbone between the core and distribution switches utilising single mode fibre optic cables. The WiFi capacity of the Centre operates on the latest CISCO HDX system enabling high user density and expanded bandwidth.

Currently, the Centre has about 12,000 network ports with UTP CAT6 cabling throughout the venue. The number of ports assigned ranges from 4 to 12 in the meeting rooms to more than 50 in the conference halls, banquet halls and grand ballroom, and over 2,500 ports during an exhibition with a minimum of two ports per exhibitor.

On standby is a team of dedicated and highly skilled technicians who are proficient in the fields of lighting, presentation technology, telecommunications and IT to ensure the successful delivery of a cutting-edge event.

The Centre’s has established its reputation and has a proven track record of successfully hosting high-profile international, regional and national events.
